1. Cut the spears into 2-inch pieces.
2. Warm oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the asparagus & butter, & saute for 3-5 minutes.
3. Season with salt & pepper.
1. Add 1-inch of water to a saute pan, then add salt. Place the asparagus in the pan. Cover & cook for 3 minutes.
2. Fill a mixing bowl with ice water. Remove the asparagus & add the spears.
