How to Cook Spaghetti Squash: 2 Ways

Learn how to cook spaghetti squash in the oven or microwave for a tasty low-carb side; eat spaghetti squash as is or pair it with a protein to create a full meal.

METHOD #1: Oven-Baked

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C). Drizzle both sides with olive oil & season with salt & pepper. 2. Turn them face down on the baking sheet; bake for 40 minutes.

METHOD # 2: Microwave

1. Drizzle with olive oil & season with salt & pepper. Add water to a glass dish, about 1-inch high. Place the spaghetti squash face down.  2. Microwave for 10 minutes & check for doneness. .

Shred the Spaghetti Squash

1. Remove the cooked spaghetti squash & let it cool.  2. Then, use a fork  to fluff & separate the strands.
