Prepare the yakhni soup.

Wash the basmati rice until the water runs clear. Then, add the rice to a bowl & soak it for 30 minutes.

Warm ghee in a pan; add onions & cook for 20-25 minutes.

JAMIL GHAR

Stir in ginger & garlic, & cook for 1-2 minutes. Drain & add the rice to the pan with the reserved yakhni soup.

JAMIL GHAR

Layer the mutton and rice in a serving dish & top with the crispy onion. Repeat until the ingredients are gone.
