Pork Carnitas Recipe

Fill a warm corn tortilla with our deliciously flavored pork shoulder & top it with fresh cilantro & red onion for restaurant-style carnitas street tacos.

Cut pork into 1-2 inch pieces. Add them to a mixing bowl & massage the rub into the pork.

Add the pork to the Instant Pot & cook until it begins to brown, about 5 minutes. Cook in batches & repeat.

Return the meat along with onion, garlic, jalapeño, cinnamon stick, bay leaves, orange juice, lime juice, & liquid smoke.

Secure the lid & cook on manual high pressure for 40 minutes. Allow 20 minutes for natural release.

Remove the pork, leaving the juices behind. Shred & spread it onto a rimmed baking sheet.

JAMIL GHAR

Cover the meat with liquid smoke & cook in oven at 500° F (260° C) for 4 minutes, until you begin to see crispy bits.
