Warm oil in a pot over medium heat. Then, add pumpkin, carrots, onions, & garlic cloves. Saute for 10 minutes.
Season the vegetables with turmeric, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, white pepper, rubbed sage & black pepper.
Stir in the vegetable broth & add the bay leaf. Bring the pot to a boil over medium heat. Cover & simmer for 20-25 minutes.
Use an immersion blender to puree until smooth.
Add the coconut milk & whisk to combine.
