Swedish Meatballs

Our Swedish meatballs are a perfect weeknight meal. The dish comes together with hand-mixed meatballs & a béchamel sauce.

Combine beef, panko, onion, allspice, nutmeg, garlic powder, salt, pepper, & egg in a  bowl; knead for 3 minutes.

Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs & set them aside.

Warm oil & add a layer of meatballs. Cook for 2-3 minutes, rotating them to get a nice sear on all sides.

Discard excess oil & add butter. Stir in the flour & heavy cream.

Add beef broth, parsley, dill, & Worcestershire sauce. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.

Lower the heat & add the reserved meatballs to the sauce. Simmer for 20-30 minutes.
